Title: August 27/28 day ride
Post by: kaziff on August 25, 2011, 09:23:13 AM
Hans had mentioned his desire to take a fairly longish ride this weekend, likely sunday and the best candidate discussed was Wells/Barkerville, any interest in this? Kaziff

The weather for either day seems changeable, with more of a chance of rain on Sunday.

How about - Meet at Casino at 8:30
Breakfast at Granvilles in Quesnel (it was good last time)
Barkerville. - Lunch somewhere

On the way back if there is time could run part way up to Nazko, or down the West Fraser Road.

Saturday I think, looks to be a much nicer day. CBC has Sunday looking pretty lousy.

Agreed, Sunday looks a bit worse than Saturday;  no matter which though, at 8:30am it is going to be nippy.

Hence a warm up breakfast in Quesnel.

Okay - BMW's headlight problem located and fixed, forgotten speedometer drive hooked up, rebuilt charging system checked out;  now just a matter of waking up in the pre-dawn gloom...or is it light at 8:30am?

Hey, wait a minute...WTF do you mean 'isolated showers'?  What happened to the sunny day? :(

There was no rain and it was only slightly chill to Quesnel. For some reason they are saying tomorrow will be a nice day also. It was a really nice ride today, and it was fun to stroll around Barkerville. It had a good beat, you can dance to it, I give it a 92.
