Picked this up Thanks to Bofud in Peachland

1952 Triumph 500 - Pre-Unit Twin   ;D

After the Warrior Ceremony....Gearbox was installed.... 8)

Next will be the Top end...and find a Triple Tree for the Front end....

Very cool. Have you got to have a peak at Borris's collection? He is a great guy, you should try to get down for this years get together at his place.

Very cool. Have you got to have a peak at Borris's collection? He is a great guy, you should try to get down for this years get together at his place.

Think it would be Great if a bunch of us could get down there for a Ride and see some of the bikes down there...Agree   ...Borris has a nice collection  ;)

Kaziff......The head was done with some new parts....Yes ..would be interested in some spare Parts if the price was right ;D

Here are the Pipes  Tacked in and what the Bike really looks like now....get a Headgasket from Bulldog and will soon see if the Magneto has Juice.... :o

OK...Got the Oil Bag in....Head gasket ..Top end done
Mag has Spark....Hook up some Oil lines and  need to Build a Carb....

Gary has a Good Eye for what works( Got the Tank from him) ;D

Then again...after SUPDAV works his MAGIC ;)


OK...Timed the Magneto as close as I could for today...just to fire it up
Rebuilt the Old Amal Monobloc Carb...( still getting tooo much air for some reason...OR...maybe back the timing off a bit? )

I dunno; look at the strong lengthwise line that particular tank gives:  great sense of 'potential movement'; and the round back is going to flow so nicely into the seat...haven't seen the Triumph logos for real, but they appear to 'fit' the tank great.

Sorted out the Rear Brake...Bid on an Early 50's Royal Enfield Seat but got outbid...again...Will keep trying - Looking for a Ribbed-Duckbill style fender also...pic attached...

Found a Dynamo Drive gear in Austria....they wanted 2 arms and a leg...
Now to find a Regulator.....anyone converted the 6 volt Dynamo over to the 12 volt Regulator with success?
