I have a 1979 Honda cm400t that needs work, the problem is I’m not able to work on it and wouldn’t know where to get parts even if I could. Is there anyone that would be willing to work on it for cash? It has low compression in one of the cylinders and it also has an overheating problem.

Just for information I know where there are a few parts for this bike.
"Have some electrical and a tank, fenders and seat"

I could take a look and provide some advise. (I used to own one of these). I don't want to be paid though.
Parts are available for these bikes and whatever the problem is, it's probably fixable. However the owner may not be prepared for the cost of parts. These old Hondas are not particularly collectible but they are pretty popular with riding schools--still, because they are so tough.
Let me know the guy's contact info.

Is there any other way to contact this guy? Or, could someone pass my phone number along to him? I don't 'do' Facebook.

give him my e-address and mobile number.
There is a 1979 Honda 400 Hawk in the pilot mountain bike hoard that appears to be in excellent shape. If he wants this bike for parts, let me know. The only cost would be to give us some help in clearing out the bike hoard. It might be a whole lot easier to swap engines than to try to repair the engine in the CM400. Also, there will be a pair of wheels, a chain, exhaust components, ignition system, clutch cables. All this stuff costs mega $$$$$ if ordered from Cycle North (or any other honda place)
