Gents:
On January 8, 2021 our provincial Government extended the covid Public Health Order out to February 5. All events and social gatherings are suspended to significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission. This means that we can't yet reinstate our Tuesday nite movie nights, shop nights, or general meetings. See the link below for more info.

I've read between the lines to see if there is any way that Public Health Order can be interpreted to our advantage. Unfortunately I came up empty handed but for the benefit of the group, here is my thought process:
Restaurants, pubs, bars. Everyone must have sit at a separate table with your core social bubble only. This means each of us at our own table and no moving between tables. When not seated at a table, masks must be worn. With all this, I'm not sure that Nellies (or any other place for that matter) is big enough to accomodate are regular group.
Galas; Some might suggest that we call our events Galas. But these are not permitted with more than 10 people and we'd all have to be two meters apart with all wearing masks. Seems stilting.
Religious gatherings. I thought maybe there's a window here--say if we re-cast our bylaws to appoint a PGVMC high priest and an assistant Curate . But, alas all worship services are also suspended.
I suppose in the long run, all this restriction will help lessen the chance of a real lockdown such as is currently in effect in the city of London, England. There right now, people aren't permitted to leave their apartments. We certainly don't want that.
Thoughts or comments, please let me know. If anyone thinks that Skype of Zoom meetings would be useful, let me know--I'll try to figure something out.
