Title: Not quite a barn find ...

... but the next best thing; a yard/leaning against the shed find.

1971 CB500 Honda.  Classic 70's mods with extended forks, sissy bar and custom paint.

It easily shifted into neutral and kicked over smoothly.  Future caf? racer.

With the help of my son Aaron (who is a huge weightlifter), got the CB500 home.

Where it will live leaning against my shed.

The engine is really nice.  No oil leaks, kicks over nicely.  I'm thinking the odometer might actually be accurate.

Custom builders do the damndest things.   Here, to get a louder sound, it looks like the mufflers were just cut off and a piece of galvanized conduit was welded in.  Back in the days before a mig or tig welder was common, DIY welding was often pretty crude.
