Hey guys, I would like to organize a ride in memory of Wayne. I would like to do it on July 4th, which was his birthday. That will be a Thursday so since I will be working as im sure lots of you are as well, I think meet at 6 for a 6:30 ride. Ill bring Zara out and hope as many of you can make it as possible. Lots of time still to plan routes so maybe we'll discuss at next meeting

after talking to my mother about the idea she pointed out that Eaglet Lake was one of his favorite ride destinations so now we're thinking meet in town and ride out to Eaglet lake where my mom and the kids will meet us for snacks and a cold one. Maybe bbq?
-
This is a great idea.
Count me in.

Sorry Man, I will be in Alberta

Wayne knew lots of other people in the motorcycle community outside of the Club. I wonder how we can get the word out to some others.

Maybe a poster we can put up in the shops? If anybody has a picture of the patch, I can rig up something.
-
A poster is a fantastic Idea! I have something special Ive been working on for the ride as well. A surprise of sorts, a rough head count would be very helpful. Ive estimated around 30 but Wayne knew everyone so this number could be way higher than I anticipate

Hey Kris.
Are you planning a BBQ? Can you PM me an email address for yourself please.
Thanks

So as most of you are now aware, I wont be able to ride for this memorial. If anyone would like the honor of riding Zara for me please let me know. she needs a bit of work to get going but nothing major and I have everything. I had plans to ride her myself but life had other plans for me.

Lets hope everyone is on the same page.
I think Olaff is getting burgers, buns etc.
Keith is bringing a grill. I spoke with him yesterday but forgot to ask if he wants help loading it.
We never discussed beverage. Probably byob if you want to have a toast?
Kris: although you won't be riding, I'm assuming you will still be attending?

I just want to thank everyone for coming out last night. It turn what could have been a sad day for my family into a fun and joyful event. It was a great evening and exactly how Wayne would have loled to celebrate his birthday. I hope that we can make this an annual thing. Special thanks to Keith for bringing out his grill and to Olaf for picking up the food and the Dennis for packing my gibbled ass around in his side car.
