My Buell needs a paint job. I thought long and hard about what to do on it that hasnt been done before and would catch the eye. I think Ive come to a decision. Plaid. Thats right, I said plaid. Buffalo plaid to be exact. In candy red. Im tinking candy red frame, the little windscreen/fairing thingy and the majority of the tank black. the front fender, tail section and the knee bolster area of the tank in the candy plaid. I scoured the internet and the only thing I found that was even close was a disassembled harley. thoughts?

Have not seen any Buell Tuber that I didn't like....Plaid would look great...( good score by the way )
Something to consider if insurance costs are in the picture.....
Depends on the year and production numbers of yours....but....I do know that some M2's qualify for collector plate with proof of low production numbers
I have seen 2 now in the lower mainland and am currently trying again to get mine done...so...sometimes stock is a good thing ( to me)...even if it is not Vintage
If one wants to go through all the icbc BS.....
This is my Eric Buell creation...my favorite Non-Vintage ride :

collector status is out of the question since its been stolen and writen off. It might still qualify for the plates but a collector wouldnt want it

Plaid .... like a kilt? Like a hairy legged Scottish man might wear? What about lace, like a smooth skinned woman might wear.

Stikman's link to his Buell had me reviewing Fritz's blog. I found a great old picture from a shop night back when I first joined the Club.

not kilt plaid. kilt plaid has pinstriping, Buffalo plaid is just a checker pattern with three shades of red.

Well at least use "sexy" plaid like a smooth skinned woman might wear ...

...not "logger" plaid like a hairy hipster would wear.
