Title: Retro electric
Post by: Dennis on November 27, 2018, 12:49:32 PM
My mother, who is into e-bikes, alerted me to this.

I haven't decided if this is cool, or the worst thing to happen to motorcycles.

I actually think those are pretty cool. Id like to see specs on things like top speed and distance between charging. if you integrated charging systems into the brakes lole modern hybrid vehicles and added solar panels on the "tank" sides i imagine you could do good distance

Because I am self employed, I often fall down internet rabbit holes when I am supposed to be working.  After looking at the above electric retro bike, I couldn't help thinking that back in the early days of automobiles, electric cars were actually pretty common.

Query: I wonder if there were any electric motorcycles back in the early days.  My wasted internet time found nothing.

Curiously, this patent uses an electric motor as part of the rear wheel .... just the like the most modern e-bikes.
