Engine in Frame - Now the boring job of making up all the spacers to make the sprockets line up, build brackets for the oil tank and headlight and lovingly install  Maggie Neato, patron goddess of sparks and all things AJS.
 
1947 G80 rigid frame

   Burman Gearbox

  1950 AJS Competition Engine ,500 cc,

  Period Alloy oil tank

  Alloy rear fender, no fromt.

  We could show photos as we progress.

Winter will be here soon and then I hope to see the progression of the Bob. Sounds like a lot of fun to build, looking forward to the photos as it gets built.

Hi Bob -  let me know if there's any parts you need.  India has loads of them over here.  Sounds like a great project. Your wife doesn't mind using the kitchen during the winter?

Any Help appreciated, I have heard there are lots of the early single cylinder bikes in India., normally 350 cc iron barrelled bikes.

Wish list For the project:  A chainguard for the early rigid frames, A Matchless/AJS front fender( traditionally you threw away the rear and bolted the front onto the back.) , original oil tank, any exhaust parts, any old style seat.

For my newly aquired 1955 G80CS:. Brake pedal, any front end parts, "kidney" shaped tool boxes., kicker pedal.

 Missus will be in Palm Springs in January, the kitchen will be mine...........
