This unfortunate takedown of a sportbike rider happened in front of Bayside Performance on May 2.

The rider had obviously given up trying to avoid the cops.  He pulls in and parks normally.  No signs whatsoever of trying to flee.  No signs whatsoever of trying to resist.  The cops take down is a criminal assault.  If the rider suffered a scrape on the pavement add "causing bodily harm."

Assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm
267 Every one who, in committing an assault,
(a) carries, uses or threatens to use a weapon or an imitation thereof, or
(b) causes bodily harm to the complainant,
is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or an offence punishable on summary conviction and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding eighteen months.

Peace, order and good government, Dennis
