I was going to keep this quiet, but after last night's rehearsal, I decided I should share.
I used to be a semi-professional musician. 10 years ago I suffered meningitis which left me deaf in one ear and not much better in the other ear. I abruptly quit playing music. A got approached a few months ago by a local Rockabilly band (the "Chevys") who needed a stand up bass player. I decided to give it a whirl.
After 10 years, I was a pretty scared about playing again, so we picked the most harmless, least pressure venue for my first show; Caf? Voltaire (Books & Co.)
We are playing only one set (14 songs) starting at 8:00 tonight. No tickets or cover, just buy a cup of coffee.
If you are out for a ride this evening, it would be great to see some of my buddies.
Peace & Grease, Dennis

Good for you Dennis - the only thing I can play is a jukebox

To fun, way to put yourself back out there. Wish I had seen this sooner.

Good to hear! Don't check the forum as much lately, sorry I missed it. How did it go? Like riding a bike I bet. CHEERS.

My brother in law went (who you helped get papers on a bike for) and he said you guys were great.

I am also sorry I missed it. Went to Vancouver for the weekend for a conference so was not around. Better luck next time.
