Last weekend I moved Lauri's Bandit to her parent's garage. Her parents are away for the winter. I decided I wanted my garage empty but for the bikes I may work on this winter; my xl250, 883 sportster, ironhead sportster and xs1100. That left the vlx600 Honda to be moved. By the afternoon it was sunny and still above freezing, so with six days of insurance left and the weather forecast for below zero pending, I added fuel stabilizer to the gas, leathered up and rode to Pineview.
During the day I saw four other bikes out, and Lindy leaving Russell's in his Morgan replica. It was gorgeous today.
I still have the Chang in my driveway under a cover. I may move it, or leave for the Spring opener. Who knows, the mood may take me mid-December, and I'll insure it for a day ride. I've rode it through two winters before, but that was when I was younger and more risilient.
