Title: curious what people pay for insurance?
Post by: benwaechter on October 05, 2014, 10:22:20 PM: Hey, I have always intentionally bought bikes 750 cc and under because I have heard that the insurance jumps a lot after 750, can anyone give me an idea what they pay for a 1000cc, 1300cc, etc...
I am pretty sure on my 84 magna 750 I was paying 68$ a month on a 6 month contract. I was looking at bigger bikes but I don't want to get bent over the barrel when I visit our lovely insurance provider.

Post by: fj1200 on October 05, 2014, 11:26:25 PM: I was paying about 100.00 per month on my fj1200. Bare bones insurance. I now pay about 525.00 for a whole year on my multi-plate. That covers 6 bikes, same bare bones though.

Post by: Hans on October 06, 2014, 02:10:48 PM: I'm at about $86/month on my 1000 Yamaha at full discounts and no collision/comprehensive. My 400 Suzuki on a collector plate is $118/YEAR!

My '69 Pontiac Firebird is $22 a month with full coverage on a collector policy.......
