By happenstance the apartment we rented in Northern Italy was owned by an Italian motorcycle enthusiast. We managed to get to one of his storage sites to have a glimpse of about half of his bikes but had little time to take pictures as he was on his way to an annual motorcycle event. He says the yellow Norton Commando is a replica of the four bikes originally manufactured and was built in the same factory as the originals. Mauro and his son (69 and 25 years old) were taking four bikes with them to the Vintage Rally/Race as can be seen in the van and the trailer.
I think there is more to his story as he seems to be more than just a a collector. If we could have spoken Italian we would have learned so much more about his collection.

Wow, yeah - lots of specific-to-task racing machinery there... RG500 Suzuki GP bike, Ayrton Senna Edition 916/996998, hi-line GP-framed T150 Triumph, Norton Commando Production Racer (probably more exotic than that), Norton something-or-other with a GP fairing and a wideline Featherbed, Laverda SFC? - the guy looks serious - really serious - about vintage bikes and racing them. Really cool: that's why you were sent to the PGVMC's Euro-bureau...
