Title: Talked to friend about Flat Track practise area
Post by: wildfire71 on March 16, 2014, 08:53:47 PM
I had a chance to talk to my friend in Pineview about an area to practice flat tracking. She was more than happy to let us use the field I spoke of. I suggested we stop by and have a look on one of our early season Tuesday night rides. That way we can walk the field, determine if it will work, discuss usage, and she can get a good feel for what we would like to do with it. We spend a lot of time standing around a fire out there as its kind of out summer ritual so maybe we will bring a beverage or two. Sound good ?

Your friend sounds great - and your plan sounds great.  If we are able to harmonize with Dennis' fear-no-contingency-lawyer theme song, this sounds the sort of simple thing a handful of us could do with minimal planning, which would be

                           Excellent.

I'm stoked about this.  I really like Rob's idea of making it one of our first destinations for a ride night.

As discussed at movie nite tonite... My tractor could be available for groundskeeping duties, I have a 48" Rototiller attachment for the three ponit on the back, to break up the ground. Keep in mind I'm still a bit green when it comes to makin things like flat tracks, but i'll give er a shot!!

My brother bought an 18' tilt deck car/equipment trailer last year which has never even been used - it just sits in his back yard; so if we needed that to move Madmacs tractor, I could swing that.   Then again, there is the always-ready-for-action steel flatdeck that Jeff has, and it goes out at a very reasonable rate...

Good thinking Russ... actually Jeff's trailer is what brought my Tractor home from the Ballif. Always good to have options ;)
