Just had a call from Chris (formerly of PG Yamaha, now Honda North) who is part of a group bringing a movie "Why we Ride" to Prince George Playhouse big screen.
He says he has the 1.5 hr dvd and it is an incredible and emotionally moving look at all aspects of motorcycling from the learners to the racers.
the show will be at the playhouse on Feb 22nd (not sure of the time, he is texting the poster and i'll try to get Hans to post it)
admisssion is $20 per head, proceeds to an injured Motorcyclist group.
Would be great to get a bunch together and attend.
(check out the trailers for this movie online)

Sounds good I will attend.

I'm not sure if I will be able to attend ... I may not be in town that weekend. However, it sounds like a great event, and an excuse for motorcyclists of all camps to get together for a mid-winter mixer.
Query: Is Chris promoting this on his own? Are there organizational aspects that the club could help with? Are volunteers needed at the playhouse?

There are several copies of this for sale on Ebay if one is wanted for the club.

Thanks FJ1200, the club has one.

Even if the Club has this video, the showing at the Playhouse is an event, not just an opportunity to watch a movie. If its promoted well, there could be a good turn out of other motorcyclist. I great opportunity to hang with others at probably the lowest ebb of winter ... late February.
By March we will be seeing break up and the first bikes will be out. At least that's my plan; the Chang Jiang has been my season opener bike since 2007.

My understanding for this event is the following:
Doors open at 6:00 pm
Door Prizes are drawn at 6:30 pm
Movie starts at 7:00 pm
Event cost is $20 per person.
Please correct any of the forgoing if required.
I still could not see the time on the poster, although MAC said he does!!!!!

The event at the playhouse was well done. My wife and I attended along with Dennis and Donovan.
It was an event to raise money for an injured Motocross rider and hosted by Cycle North of Prince George.
An excellent venue for this type of event, well organized and well attended.
Both my wife and I enjoyed the evening.
