Title: Buffalo on road
Post by: Dennis on October 10, 2013, 11:45:26 AM

This popped up on the HD Forum.  Its from the states (Custer National Park).

It reminded me of the times I have travelled between Fort Nelson and Watson Lake.  There is always a part of that trip where you have to slow down or stop and wait for the Buffalo to get off the road.

Here is crappy video of the herds up north.  Best to turn off the sound though.

Hitting a deer at speed at night is a constant risk here in the summer.  Hitting one of these monsters would be like hitting a brick wall.

That first video is a bit unnerving....good potential for disaster if one or more of them got ornery.  What surprises me is no poop on the road.  One early morning I was leaving Whistler heading north and when I got into some farm country there was several km of fresh dung on the road...I finally caught up with a group of horses who must have been on a big all night feed!
