I attended Buzzards funeral last Saturday. It was a good send-off with about 300 people and well over a hundred bikes. A few chaps from the British club, Myself and Jer's Big friend with the big Japanese cruiser who's name escapes me from ours. The group ride to Willow river was painfully slow and I brought my step sister-first passenger this year so it was tough keeping the chopper straight. Along with many others we stopped at the Willow river store for err.. lemonade. Soloed back to the hall. Service was good but space was limited. Then came the shenanigans. One fellow on a Harley decker did a big smoky burnout. Of course someone else had to try, unfortunately he started in the gravel parking lot. Not only did he spray my (and many others) bike with sand and gravel, he dumped it in front of everyone. Then went out on the road. His 112 inch Merch could not in fact light the tire on pavement. We decided to leave. On the way home I was passed by 2 cars and 3 bikes. That's when it hit me. Buzzard has a sticker on his shovel head that reads "if your over fifty and haven't grown up yet you don't have too" Turned 49 this summer- in the immortal words of Maxwell Smart "missed it by that much" CHEERS.

Sorry to have missed out, but sending kind thoughts to his friends and family.
But ... trying for a burnout on gravel?! ???
That's taking grandstanding to a whole new level (glad my 'new girl' wasn't in the lot for that).

Umm.. short hair, goatee glasses and a "little" overweight. His daughter was the one at Hixon falls. Think he rides a 1500 Suzuki.

ahhh .. Rob I believe you mean
I only met him when he started coming to the club meetings and ride, thus the confusion lol .. he is a good guy tho.

Ill take that as a compliment to be described as only a "little" overweight. LOL Ya went on the ride for buzzard didn't know him real good ... More through a friend of mine but was nice to see so many turn out in his honour ....cheers,

I would have gone to that had I known about it. Funerals are good reminders. Perhaps some want to get off the highway to hell, those are the ones I like to meet.
