Nice!

It was great to see Peggy at the Dub last night. We had a good parking lot meeting before the ride to Ness Lake. New/old Enfield is a beaut.

You guys went all the way out to Ness Lake and didn't come into camp and say hi? Hope the weather was nice for you, really hit and miss this past week.
-
Thanks guys! She is a beaut, and I'm pleased to have 'er... I'll treat her right, and hopefully she'll do the same. Too bad I wasn't able to get my insurance and transfer papers sorted out in time to join you, but I will try to make it to PG again before the monsoon season hits, and come for a ride, proper-like (and not just whine about my electrical 'issues' in the forums).
This girl has NO MORE CDI PROBLEMS to worry about, ah, old bikes. Gotta love the simplicity of a well-designed mechanical device!
> fast1, she's still on my dad's truck, they're heading here on Saturday morning, so if you stop by the farm, I'm sure he'd let you have a peek... or just wait for a visit! :) we'll be around in a couple of weeks.
As for photos:

Awesome. Very cool bike. Good for you, for spotting a gem and doing what it takes to get it.
-
WOW!! That is much prettier than I envisioned. Awesome score-now can you keep it like that and still ride it? Just jazzin' you Peg, CHEERS!!
-
heh heh, dirt washes off...

An awsome looking bike, it will be a lot of fun to ride. Now just a question is that your shop in the background? Sure is nice looking.
-
I only WISH that were my shop!
It's Motorsports Plus in Kingston Ontario, where the bike was 'crated'... and I use that term loosely.
Still and all, the bike is bound to be fun, you're right. She arrives here in Terrace tomorrow (happy dance), and I'll let you know shortly after.
Paperwork all in order, and boots shined up!

Looks nice...post pics with the new owner on it...perhaps it could use a touch of pink to reflect the owner? Or do you not want to mess with it's pristine look....
-
Unlikely to see any pink, wouldn't match my bike or riding gear... maybe the odd brass fittings?
Was looking at a new tail light (since the original was broken in transit) with a brass 'hood'...

Well, after all the paperwork, and a download of starting instructions (plus some 'kick-rash', since I'm not always inclined to look at the instructions first), we went for a nice relaxed (90 km/hr) ride to the lake this afternoon, took some pix and video, then returned by way of the 'Old Lakelse Lk Hwy', making a big loop. Went by the post office in town and was chatted up by a fellow who ended the conversation by saying that we'd "made his day"! She's definitely a head-turner...
Once I figure out the neutral-finder, and get a better feel for the gearing, I'll be good to go for longer hwy rides.
See you soon!
Here's a couple videos and some photos from today:

Looks good, sounds good and the po lights are uber cool! Just leave them on at night and no one will be able to say they didn't see you. Super happy for you! CHEERS.
