So I finally had a look at the actual Damage from Okeefe. Its not too bad but will be doing a tear down this winter.
Front end is twisted, I have new stays ect...
Engine leaks, BAD but we all knew that.
Tank mounts twisted, was a home made job needed finishing anyways
Muffler mounts broke, easy weld job fix
I think I am going to try and run the clutch wet as dry seems to grab too much. Might be the new plates I put in?
So what did i do? Did I fix all the problems ?
NO!
I rode it 42km to work:)
As I sit typing this i am at work staring out my window at the greasy, loud leaking antique of a bsa I rode to work today. I have a bit of chain oil on my pants because i have no chain gaurd and on my ride in I got some dirty looks from joggers out for their commune with nature as I rattled and sputtered by, but I was loving life, I had a big shit eating grin on my face as they ran along scowling. wind in my face and rattle from below makes life worth living! We are lucky to be alive and have the ability to enjoy our hobby, our lifes and our passion. So I encourage you to all get out this weekend, ride these beautiful peices of machinery we have and smile at everyone! We know life is great when we are riding and need to remind every one else:)
