Title: 81 yamaha seca parts issues
Post by: Hortons Heroes on May 17, 2013, 12:34:20 AM
I bought a seca and everything appears good to go but the front brakes were dragging. I tore it all apart and found that 3 of the 4 dust boots were toast as well as a few other issues. Bought a caliper rebuild kit off ebay that had the dust boots in the pic and when I received them no dust boots. Seller denies that my bike needs them so I send him these pics.

Part #15 and #16

His mind is blow but he says the he can`t find the boots anywhere.
I call yamaha in PG and they say they don`t make them anymore

Besides calling New Life (trying to avoid more 30 year old boots) is there some other option I have here?

I think the seals come as a complete unit, inner and boot.
