Title: First spill
Post by: Dennis on April 09, 2013, 11:36:44 AM
Although my nephew Emery is not a dues paying club member, he has hung out with us a few times and knows many of us.  Since he bought a club touque, that makes him a "shirt tail" member/wannabe

He dumped his bike last night on gravel.  Took a corner wide, hit the gravel and was game over.  He ended up in the emerg with some scrapes and stuff.  I don't know all the details yet, but I think he'll be okay.  He left his bike at my place after, so its rideable I guess.

Be careful out there.  I call it "death gravel" for a reason.

Peace & Grease, Dennis

Good thing it only scrapes and such.  I hope he heals up quickly and is back on the road soon.  All my best for his recovery.

The nice thing about being young is you heal and forget quickly. Not until your'e older do you feel the damage done back then. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!! CHEERS and some beers to kill the pain while telling the story.

I would like to think we care about almost anyone who spends time riding or is related to members/friends.  I have not paid any dues yet, but probably should...I just am not into the building part like most of you are and thus do not have intrest in going to meetings that discussing builds, flat tracking, etc.  I am glad you all are OK with that.  (at least I think you are, haha)  That BBQ at Wayne's was worth $25. easy...so I will pay up this year for sure....someone hit me up the next time you see me.  Glad Emery is OK, you really have to pay attention this time of the year.  If you see gravel/dirt coming get that bike straight (upright) as possible and pretend you are going to hit a bunch of marbles....

Gees , that sucks he laid er down, by the sounds of it ,he'll be ok. That big rain storm we had a few days ago sure has helped, clear the sand away. We could use a few more of them !

SSHHHHH. Did you forget we live in Prince George?  Once it starts with the....."R"...... word it NEVER stops. And then it turns white again.  :(

Hey , A little "R" was all I was askin for .  The SNOW can stay away. Besides I don't feel to comfortable riding in the snow. I did it once and that was scary!!

We have about 12" of fresh snow this morning in Vanderhoof. The roads are almost dry enough to ride this afternoon, but the driveway has 8" of slush.
