Title: Car tires........not motorcycle
Post by: 2wheelsmotorcycle on February 10, 2013, 07:12:09 PM
I was at Walmart today,(Sunday) and they have Nexen tires (for your car)at very cheap prices, cheapest I have ever seen them. They have acquired some kind of contract from Goodyear so they are unloading Nexen and another brand really cheap.Nexen is not a bad make,Korean along with Kumho and Hanccok...........but at this price, can't beat it.I needed some better tires for my Mazda Miata and got Nexens for $35.00 each....size 195/60-14.I don't know how much stock they have of all sizes, but they will go fast at that price......later    Mike

Miatas.......yes neat little cars and again , yes, some people put LS1's  in then or 327's or 283's or , on and on......many years ago when I was into European funny cars.........and the European stock car races were a fun event in Vancouver(at the Agridome) what a memory..........we used to build many a funny car , just for street use.........I built and drove a 1959 Bug Eyed Sprite, Mk1, with a 283 under the hood,we also had a 1949 Morris Minor convertible with a 283 under it's hood.....boy did these cars ever go..........mainly in a straight line........................"those were the days"

I must admit I do like cars more than bikes....you will not find me riding in the rain by choice.  Here is the car I aquired one week ago.  It has the LS1, just a little bulkier than a Miata.  It still should be a lot of fun.  Under 54,000km.  283 in a Morris Minor...straight line even would be scary

My bike?  If that is what you are asking I still have that, will keep it until it or I die probably.  Or come to the point where I can not ride...it is like family now...have had it since '88.  I just like cars too... ;)

For the record Bulldog has a first generation Valiant/'Cuda-Russ has a very cool Dodge A-100 with a 340. He built and raced a gorgeous purple Challenger, too much to list along with an Austin-Healy kit car with a potent 302 Ford engine shoehorned in for his ex.  Jeff has a 32 sedan delivery and that old Dodge van beside his house is powered by a 440 six pack with a 4-speed. Scared the shit out of me. Guy has a beautiful old Volvo and a Westfalia. Don't really know what kinda' hot rods other club members have, you are certainly not alone in your love of four wheeled things. Cheers.
