So, it sounds like Neil will not be home for Xmas or New Years. The angiogram showed a couple blockages, so it was decided to keep him in Victoria until they could do a double bypass on him, likely next week. Sounds like a hell of a way to get out of knee surgery.
-
I just had a quadruple bypass done in sept. The surgery is the easy part, it's the recovery over the next few months that is tough. Probably hurts less than the knee surgery though.
-
sorry to hear Hans, at least he is still here! Please extend the warmest of wishes to Neil and his family for a merry CHRISTmas and a speedy recovery. Had a great eve, The stockings are hung (and filled). The children are all snug in their beds. Santa Will arrive before I want to get up. At least I have Carolan's for my early morning coffee. Merry Christmas y'all. CHEERS.

Neil has had his surgery scheduled for Wednesday the 2nd. In the meantime he's looking to go over the wall for the weekend. He's getting tired of hospital food.
-
But it is so fresh, hot and tasty! CHEERS.

Our thoughts are with Neil and Berthe. A couple of new radiator type hoses will mean better quality air time in and out of the water for Neil.
All the best for Tuesday.

Neil had his bypass surgery today, a double turned into a quadruple as they were in there, but it went well. Now comes the long recovery. He should be back in PG in about 10days or 2 weeks.
-
Well, if that is as good as the news could be, then let it be that. Here's hoping Neil is back on schedule, and that his recovery is both speedy and complete. Seems a shame about the timing, but there's probably no good time to have a heart attack - though maybe when you are already in a hospital on other business, the timing is, again, as good as it could be...
-
Thanks for the news Hans.
Our best to Neil as he recovers and we will see him soon back in PG.

All the best Neil -good luck on the recovery. As one who has been there, done that - i know what is in the future. Learn to not cough or sneeze real quick. Other than that you will soon be bored . But bike season is getting closer every day.
If you need any heads-up ,gimme a call , we can share experiances .

Talked to Neil tonight, he sounds pretty good. Eating solid food already. Slowly unhooking him from various systems and will be walking tomorrow. He figures he'll be out of the hospital by Monday if all goes good. On the mend.
-
And he's sprung from the hospital in Victoria and will be heading to Vancouver tomorrow for a couple days. Home by the weekend.
