I have a friend who needs a bike for his winter project. He is not a novice and is willing to pay 1500 to 2500 dollars for a worthwhile two wheeler that he can restore to useable condition. He is not necessarily interested in a basket case as he will want to ride it next season.

have I got a deal for him !!!

Hey Shep, does your buddy want to restore a bike to original condition or would he be interested in a modified bike? I ask because my GS650 needs the top end done, and some transmission work (it occasionally pops out of gear if accelerating hard in 2nd). I loved doing the fabrication work, but mechanical stuff I just endure as a necessary part of this hobby. I'd let it go as is for $2k
How ambitious of a project does he want? I have not yet tied into the XS1100 you gave me. It is still registered in your name. I figure its still yours until I hit it with the angle grinder. I have tossed out the fairing, seat, panniers and mufflers and gave the tank to Rusty (or should I say, gave a rusty tank to Russel). What I have is a great platform for my trike project or maybe another mono-shock cafe racer. There is lots of potential in this bike. I will likely dig into it this fall.
Peace & Grease, Dennis

How about a really nice kz750? Very low K's (11000). It's a 1982 and is approved for collector plates. Call 250 564 3609 or 250 565 4801 and ask for LLoyd.

Gave John the option of the XS650 and the Ascot and he is interested in the Ascot for now. He said he has a couple of 650s, one of which he made into a flat tracker only to wind it up and destroy the top end.
Will talk to him about the non-Jeremy KZ 750 if he doesn't take the Ascot.
