Title: Painting a gas tank
Post by: 400CMT on September 26, 2008, 09:32:02 PM
Hullo
I was wondering if anyone knew of a body shop that would consider painting an older gas tank.  1979 Honda, with some rust but definitely needs to be spruced up.   I would like to get it done this winter.  Please leave me a message

Thanks

Leigh

Hey Dave.

I'll have my little Yamaha showing at the Pine Center show on the 1st and 2nd.  Could you have a look at it and come up with a quote.  Well, I'll have it there assuming I get the fuel leaks under control......

Cheers

absolutly I'll check it out.   If you can't fix the fuel leaks by then just take it with no fuel,I'm assuming its the carb not the tank?......

Keep your stick on the ice

Hoses, petcock, the normal stuff.  The tank holds gas fine, and I got the rest fixed, so it's good to go.  Just have to figure out how I'm going to get it down there, and my other bike at the same time.  Logistics, gotta love it.

Cheers

Hans

I would like to thank Dave for getting my 1979 Honda tank painted and looking like new.   Daughter commented, "  But Mom that just looks like it did when (http://)you bought it??? "..   Like duh!!!    Good work!!!

(I'll get a pic uploaded when I figure out how to do it)

Thanks Dave!!!
