Title: Lucky number seven
Post by: fast1 on July 24, 2012, 11:48:07 PM
Jumped from the plane again Saturday. Last one left from last year. Meant I had to wait till the last load. Also meant I got to go higher! 4,500 feet above ground level. My turn, no stomach knot. Get in the plane- still no knot. Gain altitude- no knot. Climb out and let go, pure excitement. Awesome jump, perfect conditions with a long flight And best landing to date. May actually get good at this. Lovin'  the skydiving. Cheers.

now at 8. My radio worked on the ground. Worked in the plane. worked after landing. Did not work during flight. Adverse conditions put 4 people with radios in the trees. Pretty proud of myself. Not only did I land in the target area, I flared (braked) at the right time and had a smooth landing. Cheers.

I have raced motorcycles,(drag and xr 100)cars, (drag and oval) snowmobiles (drag and sno-x) Natural track luge, skied, skateboarded and drove a 5- ton down some ass-puckering logging roads in some ass-puckering weather conditions as well as a host of other thrill seeking activities. NOTHING else comes close. The ultimate adrenaline rush. Very addictive. CHEERS.

Well done!
Note to self: NEVER trust the radios. Always watch the guy ahead of you. And if you aren't sure where to land, stay OUTTA the trees! Better a walk to the DZ than a ride to the hospital... When you first said you and T. went out, I knew you'd be hooked. It's a thrill alright, and you get to see the landscape from a whole other angle. Def. recommend Qualicum Beach DZ if you are ever on the island and want a view like no other!
Congrats on the timed flare, too. When you land like you're stepping off a step, it's SO satisfying...
Nice to get up higher alt, hey? Love a long flight.
Cheers,
Peg
