My first one this year. Nice being able to ride in a jean jacket with no gloves and not get cold. Noticed we have the most eclectic club around, where else would you see a DR 600 leading a Moto Guzzi, Kawi chopper, Honda Gold Wing and a bunch of Beemers together? Was also nice to see Terry after a long absence- still want to see the Stearman video. Cheers!

15L into a 15L tank... was cutting it a bit close. Something off with the mileage I'm getting, still having a fuelling problem at times. Still, a nice ride. Great place Iain!!!
OK, did my googlefu. Filled up before the ride last week out to Ness Lake, All told, about 195km in 15L, roughly 40mpg. My FZ1 gets 56. Just trying to remember if did fill right up before the Ness Lake ride.

I only get about 35 on both of mine if I am not pushing hard- but damn they are fun! Cheers.

Yes a great ride last night. Nice place Ian. I think we might have to have an Ancient Beemers Branch added to the club roster. Must be something about change oil, charge battery, check tyres, start engine every spring with these old girls.

... with the minor complaint that my BMW has been consistently the least reliable motorcycle I have ever had in exactly that circumstance - runs fine when you put it away in the fall, and pukes up some part of itself - transmission 2 years back, charging system last year - on start-up the following spring. I timidly ventured out for a ride on mine this spring fully expecting trouble - but so far it is playing coy, and keeping this year's costly setback under it's hat. Brakes feel kind of weak, though... and what's that funny scroobling-tickety-tickety-ping noise?
Very nice house by the lake, Ian.

Love a hot day ride, turned around when the sun went behind the clouds, wasn't dressed for that, haha. I haven't tested mpg in a while and was pleasantly suprized to find it took 9.5L to run 190km with mostly hwy riding. Thats about 56mpg. Not bad for a cruiser bike that has run 12.97 at the strip here. I have happily owned this bike for 24 years now.....
