Title: Buying bikes and shipping?
Post by: Ironman on July 10, 2012, 05:59:24 AM
Hi fellas, what am I to do if I want to purchase a bike from another province and get it shipped?  Googling didn't help much.  Found a beauty in "La Belle Province" but the only shipping quote I got back was 895 plus taxes?  Is that the best I can expect?  Any experience from locals buying in the States and importing?  There are such good deals, so tempting...

Hooked on those damn cafe racers now  >:(

I shipped a BMW  from PG to Halifax a couple of years ago, right around 500lb, $750 plus tax, had to build/modify a Suzuki crate first.
I thought that was reasonable at the time, saved me one way across the praries!! would likely be half that in fuel to ride . Kaziff

Yeah!  I guess I can't go cheap on this, hardly worth buying when shipping is 1 large...  I'll keep looking  ;D
