Title: GOOD LUCK RACERS!
Post by: fast1 on July 06, 2012, 01:50:03 AM
Have fun at O'keefes. Working on Dennis' bike tonight and listening to Jeff's stories made me wish I was going. Maybe next year.....Cheers!

...So was there any luck? Hopefully everyone made it home intact. Inquiring minds are dying to know.

For the record, I came second in class out of three.  Three heats, two seconds and one crash.  No thought of going against the first place guy, he had a bike, tires, and skills.  The guy I was really competing against had less power but better tires.  Dennis had a blast, he competed in the open class.  He came last in all his races, but he was out three and had a grin from ear to ear.  The same guy who win my class won Dennis' class.  Jeff had the big bail and pranged his knee somewhat.  All in all, a fun and great weekend.

So our motto of just drag it home rang true and before peg and I made it home and got unpacked peg had ended up with a BSA bantam frame front end and tank.  Me ? well I figure go hard or go home so I got 2 yamaha 250 engines, 1 almost complete honda cx500, a dirtbike frame (who knows what it actually was at one time and am in the process of negotiating a triumph tiger engine.  I am planning the flat tracker for next year and am ammassing a huge pile of junk to start the build!  lol my wife hasnt seen it yet :o. My question is does anyone have a stator for a 500 honda cx?

Thanks so much for such a great weekend everyone.  I am hoping to see all of you again very soon!
keep your knees in the breeze

To Peggy:  I was not able to look at your photobucket account.

If you want to actually post a picture here, start your post on the forum, and when you want to insert a photo, open a new window for Photobucket.  Just select the photo from Photobucket, hold you cursor and a drop down box will appear.  Click on the bottom and it will change to "copied". Then just come back to the forum posting you are working on and do "control v" or some other paste command, and voila, the photo will be inserted.  In your draft it will just look like text between square brackets, but when you preview it or post it the photo magically appears.

I don't know how to do videos.  Hans posts his on youtube and gives us a link.  That works well.

Peace & technology, Dennis
